Slifer the Sky Dragon VS Obelisk the Tormentor

Well this topic is about what the title says. Which is better? Slifer or Obelisk.

Obelisk:
Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. Cannot be targeted by Spells, Traps, or card effects. During the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Send it to the Graveyard. You can Tribute 2 monsters; destroy all monsters your opponent controls. This card cannot declare an attack the turn this effect is activated.

Slifer:
Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. During the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Send it to the Graveyard. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each card in your hand. When a monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position: That monster(s) loses 2000 ATK, then if its ATK has been reduced to 0 as a result, destroy it.

After reading both effects I have decided on this. Obelisk has the highest survival potential, No card effects can activate on the turn he is summoned so there is no way to stop him from touching the field(not even solemn trio can stop him.) and when he is on the field he cannot be targeted by card effects so the only thing you fear is getting hit by one card that everyone runs: Dark hole. With a base attack of 4000 not even skill drain malefics could clear that easily. Based on his effect though you will not be using it much since he can just attack something and deal damage and you can keep your monsters.

Now we come to slifer the Sky Dragon.... I will say it now the artwork on this card is so awesome. When it comes to Slifer he has a low survial ability since he can be torrential, bottomless, raigeki'ed, banished by any Chaos varient, etc (Is also usless when skill drain is active) It doesn't help much that he cannot be summon negated. Also with an effect of depending on hand size to have any amount of attack power is something that most duelist lack. Even though this flimsy dragon is weak and has low chance of surviving he has the greatest potential to destroy any deck in his way. With his effect to reduce any monster that is summoned by 2000 attack and destroy them if their attack reaches 0 recks any deck that can't summon a 2000+ monster on its own, he also makes Obelisk a weak 2000 attack. Slifer also has the potential of being a 6000 attack monster which is higher then any card out there.

What are your oppinions on these cards? Obelisk the Tormentor with his 4000 base who almost impossible to stop, or Slifer the Sky Dragon who has the potential to kill any deck in his path even without a hand size and can potentially be the biggest threat in the match.

Yes but he would only summon on the end phase so there is no real point in banishing him that way...

With slifer inzektors never remain on the field.... They die once they are summoned.

Soul absorption would work awesome lol I saw someone gain 5000 life off necroface loo was awesome. Strike will give you 1500 everytime you use his effect, which is really swell but not worth the space in the deck.

I know that Inzaktors will never get field presence with Slifer, but people do play monster removal (Soul Taker, Smashing Ground, etc) which kill Slifer. Obelisk will not die.because of said cards. Although, Inzektors will stay on the field, they wont be able to run over Obelisk.

@ Blaster. That wont be true if you happen to summon slifer with a hardened armed dragon and then shield with tyrant's temper. Also black garden would be great for using slifer
